Dale Bahr has been mentoring the farmers at Our Harvest Cooperative for the past 5 seasons on how to grow and sell Dale Bahr Greens. This year, Our Harvest is taking over the growing and selling, as he and his wife, Carol, transition into retirement.

These greens are highly sought after by individuals around the region, with people coming from Kentucky, Indiana and Tennessee. His most popular item is his black mustard, a rare variety that is not no longer sold commercially. Dale has been saving his seeds, using the descendants of the original black mustard greens that he had in the 1960s.

For those who have bought bushels of Dale Bahr Greens in the past, we are implementing a new "Farm Stand"-style system this year. To make it easier on the farmers and administrators, there will be no pre-ordering of greens. We will have four days a week that customers can come to the Bahr farm (969 W. North Bend Road) and buy bushels of greens. We will try to update our availability as often as possible, but the general dates of availability for each of the greens is below.

  • Can mix half & half bushels of two greens varieties
    (i.e. 1/2 bushel of collards & 1/2 bushel of kale)
